By using your own Resend and Twilio accounts, you get full control over your sender identity, pay only for what you use, and emails come from your own domain for better delivery.

Email Setup (Resend)

Resend is a modern email API that makes it easy to send transactional emails. The free tier includes 3,000 emails/month.

Create a Resend Account

Sign up for free at Resend. No credit card required for the free tier.

Add Your Domain

In the Resend dashboard, go to Domains and add your domain (e.g., yourcompany.com). You'll need to add DNS records to verify ownership.

⚠️ Important: Without a verified domain, you can only send to your own email address.

Get Your API Key

Go to API Keys in the Resend dashboard and create a new key. Copy it and paste it in the Outreach configuration panel.

Set Your Sender Email

Enter a sender email using your verified domain (e.g., reviews@yourcompany.com).

💰 Resend Pricing

  • Free: 3,000 emails/month, 100/day
  • Pro ($20/mo): 50,000 emails/month
  • Pay-as-you-go: ~$0.0004 per email ($1 ≈ 2,500 emails)

SMS Setup (Twilio)

Twilio is the industry standard for SMS. You get $15 free credit when you sign up.

Create a Twilio Account

Sign up at Twilio. You'll receive $15 in free credit to get started.

Get a Phone Number

In the Twilio Console, go to Phone Numbers → Manage → Buy a Number. Choose a number with SMS capability (~$1.15/month).

Find Your Credentials

Go to the Twilio Console homepage. You'll see your Account SID and Auth Token. Copy both and paste them in the Outreach configuration panel.

Enter Your Phone Number

Enter the Twilio phone number you purchased in E.164 format (e.g., +14155551234).

⚠️ Trial Account Limitation

On Twilio's trial, you can only send SMS to verified phone numbers. To send to any number, upgrade your Twilio account (no monthly fee, just pay-as-you-go).

💰 Twilio Pricing (US)

  • Phone number: ~$1.15/month
  • Outbound SMS: ~$0.0079/message ($1 ≈ 125 messages)
  • Free credit: $15 on signup
